To serve and protect those individuals who have been battered, betrayed, belittled and left to figure things out on their own.

Our goal is to lead in love and not in fear. Nuwave Health Services understands that just one voice could change the trajectory of someone's life.

Our mission is to strive to make every single person feel safe and secure while in our care. We believe that if something is done for the right reasons, we can all be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

For those reasons, we feel a Nuwave of treatment, a Nuwave of thinking, a Nuwave of living will be the dominant factor in the success of our participants’ lives.

Our Philosophy

Nuwave Health Services is a community-based outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment program serving Baltimore City. It uses a holistic and comprehensive approach to providing behavioral health services to adults.

Our goal is to lead in love and not in fear. We understand that just one voice could change the trajectory of someone's life. Our philosophy is that we need to address and heal the mind, body and soul of our participants. We invest in those we serve by providing a comfortable atmosphere to support change. 


While we facilitate traditional group therapy sessions to introduce and develop coping skills, the addition of our creative therapies, Music Therapy and Art Therapy, provides participants with a well-rounded treatment approach. We strive to provide our participants with the tools to rebuild self-esteem, the resources to reclaim self-sufficiency and the safe environment to maintain sobriety by being active and engaged in recovery.  Our reasoning in expanding our program offerings is to intrigue the mind, rejuvenate the body and replenish the soul during recovery.

Meet the Founders

"Our vision is to provide substance abuse and mental health services that focus on maintaining optimal mental health and physical health while encouraging and supporting individuals and families on their journey to greater well-being. We serve as an advocate to each participant’s specific needs. We are committed to providing stability to individuals and families through our affordable housing program, life skills training and education model."​

Nuwave Health Services Inc.

Nuwave Health Services, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose goal is to deliver programs and services to support individuals and families impacted by mental illness and substance abuse. Nuwave Health Services Inc. focuses on educating the public about mental health and substance abuse disorders to eliminate the stigma, labels and prejudices that accompany these disorders. Nuwave’s promotion of education and training allows individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders to improve their quality of life. We find great joy in rehabilitating and providing the resources needed to cope with the challenges of today’s society.
